Google Business messages channel allows your customers to reach out to you when pressing the chat button in the Google search results, in Google maps or elsewhere in the Google ecosystem. This service is available in both Android and IOS with no additional downloads required for the user.
The customer is expected to send the first message, then leave the conversation (if not interacting with a bot), and once an agent answers the notification will be displayed at the top of the screen. The customer can also delete the conversation and after that will no longer reachable. Google business messages currently only support inbound attachments, but not outbound.
